The first attempt by the newly constituted interim ANC Free State leadership to reach out to disgruntled members has hit a snag

Mxolisi Dukwana said it would also be difficult reconciling members of the IPC who did not have the same views on matters affecting the party.

The interim provincial committee made overtures to 16 former ANC councillors who had been expelled from the party for opposing corruption. However, it seems to be too little, too late, as the former councillors told City Press that they had no intention of returning to the governing party.
