South Africa to debate whether to split Eskom - GordhanEskom is vital to the health of the South African economy as it supplies more than 90% of its power, but it is drowning in debt after a decade of steep financial decline. Well if it means those remain state owned entities, and less reliant on bailouts... then why not? SA has to break up monopolies that have held the country hostage for 25yrs. Move with the times & change the business model. Create smaller businesses that will create more jobs. Time for a mindset change in SA.
