The ARB said that advertising for an escort company placed on the back of a delivery bike was “inappropriately explicit”.
The Advertising Regulatory Board ruled that an escort service had violated advertising code provisions by placing an"inappropriately explicit" advertisement on the back of a delivery scooter. The advertisement in question was for a company called Escort South Africa, which advertised its services on the storage compartments of delivery scooters, using pictures of women who are either nude or scantly clad in sexually suggestive positions.
It is not completely clear from the picture submitted in the complaint whether the images are of real women who have then been heavily photoshopped, or whether the image is entirely computer generated.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
