The power crisis has added an extra burden on Zimbabwe’s wobbling economy, which is already characterised by shortages of foreign currency, fuel, food, medicines as well as a skyrocketing inflation. “We exchanged views on how we can deal with that issue. Of course, our Zesa owes Eskom quite a lot of money and they have been able to pay $10m last week to reduce that debt,” the Zimbabwean president said.
The state utility has been forced to implement rotating blackouts over the past few years to prevent a collapse of the national grid as its fleet of ageing and poorly maintained plants struggled to keep pace with demand. Zimbabwe’s power crisis has stocked public anger against Mnangagwa who has failed to fulfil promises that he made when he controversially won an election last year.

MultiChoice appoints Eskom chair to its board of directorsMabuza and Dr Fatai Sanusi, of Nigeria, will serve as non-executive directors effective 5 July 2019 I'm sure it's all above board based on Eskom success and nothing to do with multichoice needing political connections against online su description services . Good luck MultiChoice, having 'worked' at ESKOM is not exactly a glowing recommendation of achievement LOL. The very same chair of Eskom Board in relation with Thandi Marah, Senior Eskom Procurement official 2018, awarding Tenders to companies where she was Shareholder? Should be on the agenda of Zondo Enquiries.
