The National Freedom Party (NFP) intends to restructure the government tender system in order to benefit those with disabilities, women and the youth.

In its 2019 election manifesto, the NFP made it clear that if elected, regulation of exchange control would be tightened, international trade would be increased, and incentives would be provided for vulnerable key sectors such as the agriculture and textile industries.

The party says it will not privatise state owned enterprises such as South African Airways and Eskom, but will instead encourage public-private partnership giving the State 51 percent ownership of SOEs, while the public would own 49 percent in the form of shares. The NFP plans to increase the budget allocated to the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform so as to improve the standard of service to rural communities and to establish a reliable supply of water and electricity.
