EFFHateSpeechFinding: Here are the five complaints the SAHRC received

Johannesburg - The South African Human Rights Commission has cleared EFF leader Julius Malama of various complaints which were lodged against him over his racially charged utterances.

This included Malema remarks that the party was “not calling for the slaughtering of white people yet, that Indians had everything and ill-treated black people in KwaZulu-Natal, that Africans were not oppressed the same as Indians and coloured people and his singing of “Kiss the Boer” last year.Commission chairperson said while some of the utterances by Malema were controversial and could be considered as disturbing, they could not meet the threshold of hate speech.

“On the basis of that analysis and other considerations, the commission came to the conclusion that whilst some of these comments may be quite offensive, they do not meet the legal threshold to qualify as hate speech,” Majola said.

Sentletse To all being mentioned by de susprcts, the law culdn't prove otherwise that that was a hate speech but rather be facts nd truth in it. ..unlesz ur also intimidated by truth?

Question: Were anyone on the SAHRC panel in any way influenced, intimidated, captured or otherwise persuaded to NOT find a 'guilty verdict'? I am not expecting a response any time soon.

Factual truths cannot be misconstrued to be hate speech however much you marinate it. Unless one is relying on some unknown separate laws. With our so called HRC it would only be hate speech if uttered by a white.
