JOHANNESBURG - Economic Freedom Fighters chairperson in Gauteng, Nkululeko Dunga, has slammed the African National Congress caucus for turning their back on former Ekurhuleni mayor, Sivuyule Ngodwana, who has been ousted.removed through a motion of no confidenceHe was elected to the position exactly a year ago through a coalition made up of the ANC, EFF and minority parties."From where we are standing, the vote of abstaining is a vote nonetheless.
Meanwhile, council Speaker and EFF member, Nthabiseng Tshivhenga, who was in also firing line on Thursday,Dunga hasn’t ruled out the possibility of his party fixing its disputes with the ANC. "We do have a joint political management committee that discusses and engages on our differences. It’s just that we couldn’t find one another in this particular case but you would have noted that we had the same idea on the Speaker of council."
