EFF Members of Parliament, Members of Provincial Legislatures and council members have committed to contribute a third of their salaries to the Covid-19 Solidarity Fund. Day15ofLockdown

Cape Town - EFF Members of Parliament, Members of Provincial Legislatures and council members have committed to contribute a third of their salaries to the Covid-19 Solidarity Fund.

This follows President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement that the nationwide lockdown would be extended by two weeks and that he, Deputy President David Mabuza, cabinet ministers and deputy ministers will take a 33% pay cut for three months. The EFF said in a statement that it welcomed the decision by the executive and premiers to donate 33% of their salaries to the fund which will finance the war against the deadly coronavirus and called on all public representatives and all employed people with disposal income to do the same.

The Solidarity Fund is independently administered and South African businesses, organisations and individuals, as well as members of the international community can contribute to it.Bank details for cash donations:

FloydShivambu La luthulekile la EEF should thank Shivambu... Into enkulu ukuthula nje cha!

FloydShivambu I wish EFF should have created out own fund to conduct its own donation programs bcoz now we ANC in our areas using government donations to garner support for them. In Mtata eChris Hani there are no food parcels I have spoken to other people iMdantsane there are no food parcels

MbuyiseniNdlozi By the way they are willing to sacrifice salaries of employees in the economic sectors deemed not essential but they can't do without their salaries. Double standards of the highest degree. If the alcohol production employees stand to loose their salaries then so should they. 🤷🏾‍♂️

MbuyiseniNdlozi When will you guys start paying back the VBS money?Old pensioners are suffering, paying back the money it's the right thing to do. Honest question.

MbuyiseniNdlozi That's why I love EFFSouthAfrica but MbuyiseniNdlozi must stop mixing politics with amapiano he must leave the ShimzaMustFall movement

MbuyiseniNdlozi Leadership

FloydShivambu Good decision

FloydShivambu I dont think all 44 members of EFF agreed to this. A dictatorship was used. It's going to be 33% and 15% EFF 40% for EFF members

FloydShivambu Congratulations leadership you really shown your leadership capabilities. You're the greatest reserve / subtitude for the next coming ruling party. Once again Congrats👋👋🙏🙏

FloydShivambu Let’s see who else will follow suit

I salute you Fighters

I feel sorry for councillors of Local Municipality who will remain with absolutely nothing!!!

Because they still HAVE salaries!

I would donate all my salary when I've looted millions from VBS and others. They can truly do more.

Well done, let's see who follows them.
