Nzimande calls for patience as country deals with challenges via SABCNewsOnline

SACP says it understands the frustrations of members of the public when they experience lengthy electricity black-outs.

The South African Communist Party leader Blade Nzimande has called on people to be patient and allow on-going investigations, including those of the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture – to get to the bottom of the problem. SACP says it understands the frustrations of members of the public when they experience lengthy electricity black-outs.“As the SACP, we are very concerned about the state of Eskom. This is why we understand when our people are angry about it; we also share their anger but nevertheless we want to say we want to be part of the solution. We know where the immediate cause is, State Capture and looting of state owned enterprises and in particular Eskom was targeted.

Are they planning for Loadshedding ? Too little too late. FNB and Big Concerts will never see me again. Tickets are not cheap. Very unsafe outside. Transport out is a disaster. Buying eats or drinks was at least a 45minute que, overpriced and poor quality. Acoustics were terrible. Overall a poor experience. Just NO!

Op-Ed: SA can learn from Karl Marx when it comes to electoral reformsKarl Marx’s demand to bring the vote to the working class came from the six-point People’s Charter of 1838, with its supporters known as Chartists. The name Freedom Charter probably came from this source. Given the issue of electoral reform which has now surfaced in South Africa, it is helpful for voters to read about the history of Chartism.
