DUMA GQUBULE: SA ticks all the boxes to be guided by modern monetary theory 🔒

BL PREMIUMA monetary sovereign government is one that issues its own currency. It taxes its population in the same currency. It issues debt that is denominated in its own currency. The fourth condition is that it does not fix its currency; it has a floating exchange rate, according to Fadhel Kaboub, a modern monetary theory economist.

Technically, such a government cannot default on its debt. It has the policy space to achieve its macroeconomic policy objectives, the most important of which is the achievement of full employment. The only limit to state spending is inflation or the availability of real resources that can be purchased.

Nonsensical Stuff. We need to use gold and silver as money. Those things can't be inflated, deflated, printed or done with as these parasites please, like they do to current bogus money called Fiat currency.

Paywall. But let me guess. Supports printing money.

If unlimited printing money out of thin air made you wealthy, Zimbabwe or Venezuela would rule the world.

How when we are not even a reserve currency? Depending on foreigners to borrow us their R1 trillion? What will happen to the Rand if they sell off of this?
