Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have been hammered for their lack of activity during the January transfer window.
As reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs were in talks to sign Siyethemba Sithebe from AmaZulu, but talks broke down on transfer deadline day. Instead, Chiefs announced the contract extensions of Bruce Bvuma, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Happy Mashiane, Reeve Frosler, Sabelo Radebe, Keletso Sifama and Thabo Mokoena. Amakhosi are currently fourth on the DStv Premiership standings, 16 points behind log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns.
"The need was there to bring in quality players, not just any players. They needed quality players to come compliment those who are there. Chiefs is a big club and they need to have enough depth in terms of quality players. They really needed to sign, we can't run away from that. For a team that has not won a trophy for five to six years, you can't tell me that they did not need to sign," former Amakhosi player Robson Muchichwa told the Siya crew.
"There is a team winning the league every season, but they are still signing players. I don't know what their reason was. Maybe they have a plan. But I still feel that they should have brought in players to beef up and start building for next season. If you want to win things, you need to pay. If you want quality, you need to take out the money and pay."

The true matter of fact is we are not that really desperate for a new signings but what we do need is a good working technical members likes of Lucas radebe doc khumalo Jimmy tau, and a well youth understanding coach, a team working coach who will be able to share ideas
It's not only Chiefs, even the low lying Swallows have not bought anyone, they are only shedding players.
