Our favourite red wine event, the Shiraz , Charcuterie and Cheese Festival, returns to Anthonij Rupert Wine in Franschhoek this Saturday, 25 May. And this year, they've added a delightful twist to the experience. They're adding a selection of fantastic cheeses, from creamy Brie to aged Gouda, along with huge fat Kalamata olives and everything tapas to the delicious charcuterie, along with a lovely array of fine Shiraz .
This year, organiser Darielle Robertson has added an extra element to the proceedings, with a range of artisanal cheeses from leading Cape Town producer Puglia Cheese as well as cheese and charcuterie from Wild Peacock, and more charcuterie from Joostenberg Bistro & Butchery and Richard Bosman. Live music will add to the laid-back, relaxed ambience of a perfect autumn day spent tasting fine red wines in Franschhoek.
