Doctors Without Borders on a mission to halve its Carbon emissions by 2030

Doctors Without Borders is aiming halve its carbon footprint by 2030 in its humanitarian medical projects around the globe.

“The operational centre in Geneva, Switzerland, which oversees medical humanitarian projects in 26 countries, is the first of the six MSF operational centres to design an environmental roadmap with clear solutions and actions to reduce carbon emissions and environmental footprints,” according to an MSF statement. “As an emergency medical organisation, our priority will always be to provide rapid assistance to people in some of the world’s most remote places.

“With this target, we aim to chart a firm trajectory towards decarbonisation, aligning MSF with the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate to limit global warming below 2°C,” MSF added.
