Minister’s counsel attacks illicit trade and smoker numbers wielded by British American Tobacco SA

Cooperative governance and traditional affairs minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has disputed claims that the cigarettes sales ban has failed to reduce the number of smokers in SA.

Dlamini-Zuma and British American Tobacco SA butted heads in the high court in Cape Town on Thursday over her decision to ban the sale of tobacco products.
