'Boycott paying rates' - Disgruntled civic movement tells Eastern Cape residents

The Komani Progress Action is accusing the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality of failing to deliver basic services to residents.

The civic movement, Komani Progress Action , has urged residents of the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality to boycott paying rates until such time as the municipality ceases to exist. The KPA has sounded a clarion call for the municipality to be dissolved, accusing the local government authority of failing to deliver basic services to residents.

The movement's calls for the Komani-headquartered municipality to be dissolved dates back to January last year, but escalated in recent days as it cited"rampant corruption and maladministration" as the main reason for it to shut up shop.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
