CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance is reiterating its call for the situation at Eskom to be declared a state of disaster.
The party now wants to put an urgent question to Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan on the matter at a question-and-answer session in Parliament on Wednesday. But the DA said that this latest crisis was a consequence of government refusing to acknowledge that the power utility was on the brink of collapse.DA MP Ghaleb Cachalia said that if government declared a state of disaster, it would unlock the emergency re-prioritisation of resources.
Naturally. But then what?
The white capitalist masters benefit from it's collapse
Long overdue.
Eskom_SA should put under private adult supervision. AdR and JO must be fired and investigated. Get KW Miller to appoint financial and operational experts to run day-to-day functions. Audit all diesel and coal contracts and jail fraudsters. IMMEDIATELY!
State disaster is Andre, their man
Privatise Eskom is the solution
I concur. An independent team should be appointed to fix it. All managers should be fired, and new lean experienced management teams hired to replace the bloated incompetent current management.
Are they willing to hold Pravin gordhan accountable Our_DA DPE_ZA
