DA heads to court over Garden Route beach closure decision

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance has filed an urgent application in the Western Cape High Court.President Cyril Ramaphosa declared the municipality a hotspot area, which means beaches there are closed until 3 January.

The garden route has seen a dramatic increase in COVID-19 infections, putting healthcare facilities under immense pressure.
