JOHANNESBURG - African countries have signed a ground-breaking agreement aimed at securing millions of COVID-19 vaccine doses for the continent.
This agreement is part of the World Health Organization's global coronavirus vaccine allocation initiative called COVAX.It is meant to help to buy and distribute approved vaccines. "Once there is a vaccine that is licenced and approved, COVAX will work to secure at least 220-million doses of vaccines for the continent," said WHO's Richard Mihigo.
