The DA wants Police Minister Bheki Cele to account and President Cyril Ramaphosa to “step up and speak up in defence of the Constitution”. This after Zuma was recently slapped with a 15-month jail sentence for contempt of court, following his failure to appear before the state capture inquiry earlier this year.
In a letter penned by the State Attorney’s office on behalf of Cele, he argued that this was due to the litigation steps that Zuma has embarked on. Cele, who has until midnight on Wednesday to comply with a Constitutional Court order directing him to arrest Zuma so he can start serving his sentence, could be charged with contempt of court if Zuma is not arrested by that time.
“It is critical that we reaffirm our commitment to upholding these principles, and this needs to start in the National Assembly.”

Steenhuisen is pathetic! Why should the President address the nation? He's got more important things to do! For starters, law enforcement agencies are doing their work very well, and that means something about the President's work!

DA is crazy. Why should Ramaphosa speak on issues that the courts have already made pronouncements. The court ruling said nothing on what the President must do. DA must sometimes just take the backseat and relax. They must not try to be relevant in every matter.
