The council sitting at the City of Ekurhuleni council in Germiston was off to a slow start on Tuesday amid indecision about the order of the day. Two meetings are expected to run in council, including the tabling of the Auditor-General ’s audit report and a motion of no confidence against Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana . Council chief whip Jongizizwe Dlabathi said there’s no guarantee there won’t be a repeat of the disruptions seen in the last meeting.
“Assuming that the worst happens, it will have an impact on the tabling of the AGSA report, which out of our own legal advice we have been briefed that it does require the mayor to table the report.
