JOHANNESBURG - Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says corruption has cost Eskom billions of rand."Suddenly everybody finds bailouts for Eskom a problem, but we've forgotten that as the President pointed it out yesterday that Eskom was one of the prime targets of state capture and corruption. Some where between a R20-billion or more were lost," Gordhan said.
Gordhan was addressing the Drakensberg Inclusive Growth Forum hosted by the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation.

Stop appointing people based on their political affiliation and connection to run eskom. Appoint people on merits. Introduce a severe punishment( including attaching their assets and pension funds) to anyone who s caught in corruption
I think SA s better off with SoE fully or partially privatized. Year in year out tax payers are forced to pay billions and billions of rands because of maladministration and corruption.If they are privatized they ll be properly managed and we ll get better services.
