After recording 111 deaths yesterday, a further 103 Covid-19-related deaths were reported – 15 from the Eastern Cape, 25 from Gauteng and 63 from Western Cape, Mkhize said in a statement.
In the next four weeks, the number of Covid-19 cases nationally is estimated to top 400 000 and 7 400 deaths could occur by mid-July, according to updated projections by the SA Covid-19 Modelling Consortium , which was published by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases on Wednesday.
