The Constitutional Court announced on Friday its decision to dismiss an application for leave to appeal which the Economic Freedom Fighters and Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane lodged in a case which involves the Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan and the South African Revenue Service “rogue unit” report.
The constitutional court said in a statement that it has set aside costs against EFF and Mkhwebane in her personal capacity, but ordered the public protector to pay costs of Gordhan, former Sars commissioner Oupa Magashula and deputy commissioner Ivan Pillay, including costs of their legal counsel. After EFF had called for a “harsher” test to be developed for interim interdicts against the public protector, the supreme court found that the party’s argument was without merit.
The supreme court further said that: “However, leave is granted to appeal certain aspects of the high court’s costs order and the appeals of the EFF and public protector in this regard are upheld.”

This is why we banned cigarette sales: Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma tells courtThe overarching rationale behind temporarily banning the sale of tobacco products during level 4 of the lockdown was to protect human life and health and to reduce the potential strain on the health-care system This ban is actually stupid. A Ban should be 1 week. Not go on for 2 months and allow the blackmarket to thrive. You ban anything and af ter some time it wil be replaced by something else better cheaper or low quality. Look at what happens in marriages She protect people Protect human life? So you can torture them with starvation, depression and poverty. Release 19000 prisoners because this is for our safety So it's okay for me to die at a murderers hands but not from my own choices.!! Whooptifuckendoo
