Coal miners partner with Eskom

The companies are the largest coal suppliers to the power utility. They contribute about 80 percent of Eskom’s annual coal supply.

Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter says this agreement will contribute to the utility’s efforts to achieve its aim of having a net-zero emissions status by 2050.Roland Tatnall, the managing director for energy at Exxaro Resources, said the business has started developing renewable energy solutions for the company's own mines.

This partnership means that should the Coal miners and Eskom have a fight they will leave the paying customers in the dark 😂
