He will serve an effective five years direct imprisonment.

A 41-year-old man has been convicted and sentenced to eight years in prison for the possession of a prohibited AK-47 assault rifle.

Williams was arrested on September 19, 2017, by members from Mfuleni SAPS who swiftly acted on a tip-off that he was in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
