BUSI MAVUSO: Government needs to heed IMF warning on structural reforms

The IMF’s stark warning last week that the government needs to accelerate the pace of its structural reforms will, I hope, be taken seriously because similar calls from national and sectoral business organisations, labour and civil society groups have largely gone unheeded.

Godongwana calls for fuel price reformsSA's finance minister has called for changes to the way the fuel price is calculated, after the cost of petrol rose to a record this month. The only lasting solution is to develop local oil supplies. Which is what Shell is working at. I like the potentially progressive thinking of our new finance minister.
