Bafana Bafana face their biggest test yet when they take on FIFA World Cup champions France on Tuesday, and coach Hugo Broos has again talked about what he expects for his side.Following their goalless draw with Guinea here on Friday night, a game where the South Africans impressed in patches but failed to kill off the game given the number of chances they had, the next challenge will be even tougher.
Broos’ intention is to get every player on the pitch, so you can expect a changed line-up against France at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.“We know that Tuesday will be very tough, playing against the world champions and all of them high class players,” the coach said after the game. “But it will be a very good experience for us – South Africa in the past played against ‘little teams’, so they were sure before the game that they would win…but you don’t learn anything. I think what we had today, against a good Guinea team, we learnt a lot. We will learn a lot again next Tuesday. Whatever the result is, when I see my team playing the way I want and the quality is higher, I am happy with that. It will be a good experience and the players will be looking forward to it.
