Princess Anne, the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and sister of King Charles, has been rushed to hospital following an “incident” at her home Sunday evening , revealed in a statement by Buckingham Palace.Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Anne, also known as Princess Royal, has been hospitalised as a precaution after an “incident” at her home on Sunday evening .
“The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery,” read the statement.“The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery,” the statement continued.
The source went on to say that Princess Anne is recovering well in hospital and her upcoming royal engagements have been postponed. The Princess is the second child of the late Queen Elizabeth, followed by Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. She was first married to Captain Mark Phillips from 1973 to 1992. Months after she divorced Phillips, she married Sir Timothy Laurence in 1992.
