Business rescue is the only viable route to address the airline's 'dire situation', says presidency

In a letter to cabinet ministers and deputy ministers pinformed the executive that President Cyril Ramaphosa had made the decision that the airline should enter business rescue in order to address its “dire situation”.In the letter Lubisi states that business rescue “is the only viable route open to the government to avoid an uncontrolled implosion of the national airline”.

“The voluntary business rescue process approach will prevent liquidation applications by any of SAA’s creditors, which would land the airline in an even worse position,” says Lubisi.

The ANC is likened to a vicious incurable disease! No matter how much medication you take, this disease will kill you. Business rescue is the medication but the vicious ANC virus will kill all of it in time.

My question is how many times do we have to bring it back on on knees just for the ANC to knock it back down again ? Just let it die

Just sell the fleet. We feel safer on other airlines anyway. Who wants to fly in a 747 that has disgruntled staff and mechanics?

Last airline that went to business rescue that I remember is 1time... CoruscaKhaya ashley_dicken .... will SAA beat the odds?

Sadly, this is often a precursor to liquidation.

Which last working battery realised this was the solution that every single other person in the country knows to be the correct solution? Did we have to hire consultants to tell us again?

When will the various insurance companies make their calls on guarantees issued to date? Thursday morning?

du_giel Won't work. Another strike. 🙄

Who is the BBBEE and Affirmative action business rescue practitioner?! Connected to ANC elite?

Another resounding ANC success

Say it, it's privatization 😏

Very good news.
