ANC Ekurhuleni regional chairperson Mzwandile Masina has resigned as a councillor for Ekurhuleni. Masina’s resignation as a councillor follows the ANC's failure to secure power in Ekurhuleni after filing a successful motion of no confidence in mayor Tania Campbell. Masina and his fellow regional leaders were blamed by the ANC provincial leadership for jeopardising a coalition partnership with the EFF and the ANC.
That, he said, stemmed from allegations that the suspects fraudulently obtained operating licences and roadworthy certificates from various testing stations without even physically being at a testing station. “A suspect in a Toyota Quantum tried to set the bus alight but was disturbed by Law Enforcement.
