BOMBSHELL: Steve Komphela on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns?

The well-travelled coach then took up the role of head coach atKomphela had spent two years as initially a senior coach, before becoming an assistant coach. His redeployment to the latter came after the a change in coaching structure at Sundowns. That change sawassume the role of sole head coach. Towards the end of the season, there were rumours that the duo did not quite see eye to eye. In fact, this to such an extent that it is believed it was Mokwena who pushed Komphela out of Sundowns.

“The coach’s contract is only expiring in June this year. The agreement was that Mamelodi Sundowns would continue to pay his salary until the expiry date of his contract. The arrangement to join Moroka Swallows was more of a loan move,” said a source claimed to be close to both the club and Komphela by the publication. Under this seemingly strange agreement, it is alleged that Sundowns continued to pay Komphela. This even though he was at Swallows.
