The protracted fight by the Boezak family to get back their Boezaksvlei farm in the Northern Cape is also the fight of thousands of land claimants who may have to wait for many years to have their claims settled, according to Allan Boesak (77).

In an interview with City Press sister publication Rapport, Boesak said the numerous cases about families’ lost land symbolised “a much larger context and history for many people across the
