Blade Nzimande worried about SA's declining maths pass rate.

Image:Higher education, science and technology minister Blade Nzimande is worried that fewer matrics passed mathematics in 2019 with 40% or above than the class of 2018.

“The worrying thing is that in 2019, the number who passed with 40% or above was lower than the number in 2018,” he said.

It's not a crisis yet. So ignore him

Not everyone is maths boffins, it's not a requirement for all career choices. Aptitude tests should be made compulsory in grade 9. Don't make maths compulsory. Scrap math lit, it does not reflect in any career choice. Government should wake up and see further than their noses 😡

Yena na ANC killed education maybe they want our kids to be clueless deployed puppet who are controlled just like their cadres.
