Afrihost customers on Openserve’s fibre infrastructure are reporting problems with their connectivity. The issue is also affecting Telkom DSL users.
Some subscribers have reported that they have no Internet access, while others say their connections are intermittent—reconnecting briefly before disconnecting again. Reports on Downdetector show that reports of problems on Afrihost and Openserve started spiking at around 17:45 on Tuesday. Afrihost confirmed the issue at 18:10, saying it is attending to it. According to the status report, the problem is affecting customers nationwide.
“Afrihost engineers are actively working on resolving the ongoing intermittent connection issue experienced by Openserve clients. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” it stated.At 09:25, it said that customers were reporting limited connectivity and that the company was working on identifying and resolving the issue.which aims to encourage constructive discussions.
