Bhele Receives Special KZN Accolade

Legendary South African striker Siyabonga Nomvethe received a major accolade alongside Hashim Amla at the recent KZN Sport Awards. Check it out! Former Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu striker Siyabonga Nomvethe was honoured at the recent KZN Sport Awards for his career achievements.

"Bhele" remains the PSL's all-time top goal scorer and enjoyed a fruitful career both locally and abroad, earning the KwaMashu-born former footballer legendary status in KwaZulu Natal sport. KZN's biggest sport stars were celebrated at the KZN Sport Awards over the weekend, staged by the provincial government at the Durban International Convention Centre.

Nomvethe, who enjoyed a successful career playing for the likes of Udinese, Empoli, Aarlborg BK, and both Soweto giants among other teams, is one of the best athletes KwaZulu Natal has ever produced.

Bhele wasn't the only KZN football icon honoured on the night, the late 1996 AFCON-winning coach with Bafana Bafana, Clive Barker was remembered with a Posthumous Award.
