As expected, there were thrills and spills, something generally associated with the game of basketball. Despite the home side, Cape Town Tigers, suffering defeats in their opening two matches, the sold-out crowd was left yearning for more.The Tigers lost 86-73 to Burundi’s Dynamo Basketball Club. On Sunday, Petro bounced back with a 100-88 win over the Tigers, while FUS Rabat forfeited their game against Dynamo.As we reflect on the weekend that was, this is what went down on the Sunbet Arena court on the opening weekend of the BAL as captured by photographer Denvor de Wee:
