Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed to the Siya crew who will be in the dugout in the GladAfrica Championship next season.
The Limpopo outfit's fate was sealed over the weekend when they were relegated to the second tier following a defeat to Maritzburg United in KZN. The club chairman confirmed that Vincent Kobola will remain the club's coach next season and explained his decision to hold onto the former PSL right back. Kobola took over from Kgoloko Thobejane and gave Baroka some hope of suriving going into the final day of the season, but they could not get over the finish line. Kobola, though, will get an opportunity to start the new season with the club and try to bring them back to the DStv Premiership.
"Kobola will be our coach. I think he can do better. He showed us some promising signs towards the end of the season. He collected seven points in four games, so he showed us that he can do better for us ," Mphahlele told the Siya crew.
"Players come and go all the time. Even if we were not relegated, there are players who were going to leave, so it's normal. It's not a train smash. We have not decided yet who will be staying or leaving. We will finalise these things in June."
