FC Barcelona reportedly want to sign another Manchester City star after acquiring the services of Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer. SLInt MORE:

Reports in Spain claim that the Catalan giants are eager to bolster their defensive department with another right-back ahead of the new season.Mundo Deportivo have reported that the LaLiga champions are considering a move for City full-back Joao Cancelo, who has an uncertain future in Manchester.

The Portugal international spent the second half of the 2022/2023 season on loan at Bayern Munich after an apparent falling out with manager Pep Guardiola. Despite making 21 appearances during the short-term deal, the Bundesliga champions opted against making the deal a permanent one due to the reported transfer wanted by Man City.

With Cancelo's future now uncertain, the Catalan giants are hoping to sweep and sign the defender on a season-long loan to help their options at right-back. Mundo Deportivo also added that should Cancelo decided to move to the Camp Nou, he would need to lower his €8million salary to make the move happen.
