, Barca have blocked Dembele's proposed move to the French champions and have asked for him to return to Catalonia immediately.

When the 26-year-old signed an extension with the Blaugrana last year, it was reportedly agreed that should a club trigger his €50 million release clause, the transfer fee would be split in half between the player and the club. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is believed to only want a move to the Parc des Princes, but as things stand, he will miss the opening weekend of Ligue 1 football, with the 2023/24 campaign kicking off this Friday.
