Banyana want to win Women’s Afcon to boost morale in the country – Andile Dlamini

“We are extremely happy that we have made it to the final. God is great all the time. I believe that each player in this team wants to win ,” said the 29-year-old Dlamini, who was born in Harding in KwaZulu-Natal.

Banyana beat defending champions Nigeria 2-1, Burundi 3-1 and Botswana 1-0 in their three group stage matches to advance to the quarterfinals. Dlamini has been her usual vocal self at the back, marshalling the defence. She is proud of the work done to shut the back door. “So, these clean sheets are for the team. It is not only individuals. I am who I am because of my team-mates, and they are who they are because of everyone, you know.
