Bank of Lisbon blaze: Forgotten heater, flouted safety laws lit the path to tragedy

A report into a fire at the Bank of Lisbon found that the blaze was likely started by a heater.Five years after the Bank of Lisbon fire in Johannesburg, which claimed the lives of three firefighters, the provincial report has finally been released.

Chief among the findings is that the fire likely started because of a heater, which ignited flammable materials surrounding it.
