Auditor-general has team ready to inspect how money is spent.

Midvaal mayor Bongani Baloyi said municipalities had lost millions in revenue in the economic shutdown. He feared they might not be able to provide services if the national lockdown continues.

But Baloyi said that if some of the money was not provided to municipalities for their operations,"very few municipalities will be standing by the time we get to December"."We need to factor in those who will lose the most and who don't have a rates base [and] who will not be able to sustain themselves," said Baloyi, who is also an executive member of the South African Local Government Association.

Baloyi said most municipalities did not purify their own water or generate electricity. They bought these services and sold them on.

Just Quarantine the money from the looters, or the looters from the money... 😂 😂 All the best. Too late though, it's like bazama ukuhlukanisa amathe nolimi... 😂 😂 Impossible

I don't know about this why do we feel the need to cover our tracks

Accountability my Auditor

And do what after🤷🏾‍♂️ AG’s reports are gathering dust in every dept & agencies with no action being taken - No DCs. No criminal charges, No recovery processes- so how is it going to be different this time🤷🏾‍♂️ There’s that NPA lady who is on permanent holiday, respect us please😡

Auditor General? Mxm

AG has more power's now and he can deal with looters decisively

What does this help if nothing ever happens to the people stealing the money

Institutionalized corruption is hard to uproot. Good luck

Why wasting money by giving it to someone to buy food and redistribute how about adding that money to all social grants beneficiary if the grocery is 1600 add that money to all rather than giving it to someone to eat it

Only now?

Good to hear that, as scoundrels, vultures and hyenas still roaming the streets.

He will just issue a Report which will be piled up in the archives................ together with other 'damning ' Reports .....

Kagiso64871247 Useless🚮

You are never going to prosecute anyone no matter what you uncovered. Has not happened before and won't happen now, just talk so the sheep can keep giving the ANC looting machine more funds

That’s great but can’t AG put a team in place to oversee, approve and monitor spending of money

Zanditwala1

🙆🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

sanza_sk Please they must not wait until the 2021 audit. They must do it quarterly or monthly while the stolen money isn't fully used.

He still doesn’t have control over municipalities what will change this time?!
