According to a statement, Aleck Skhosana has come out on the right side of an arbitration ruling and will now be able to stand when the voting does go ahead.

Athletics South Africa president Aleck Skhosana will be allowed to run for a position on the Sascoc board and a possible presidency.Skhosana’s nomination was controversially thrown out by Sascoc ahead of what was supposed to be a March 28 election, but with that process postponed because of the coronavirus crisis, Skhosana took the matter to arbitration.

“Cassim based his ruling in particular on clause 12.2 read together with clause 12.12 of SASCOC’s Constitution. “For ASA, this is the second successful arbitration award against SASCOC after Skhosana had been unceremoniously expelled from the Board in 2017 and had to be re-instated after SASCOC was challenged for a hasty and unconstitutional decision in removing him.
