Sunday Times photographer Esa Alexander, who was at the scene, said:"There are a number of police officers here, police forensics are combing the area for clues.
"The taxi is parked on the side of the road and we understand it was the driver who was shot. The mortuary van has just left with the body. There are number of people at scene who are talking to the police." It was not immediately clear if the shooting was related the killing of four people and the wounding of two others in a taxi-related incident that unfolded in Hout Bay on Monday.
As many as 70 gunshots were fired that incident. A week earlier, yet another person was gunned down in the coastal suburb. Cape Town authorities believe the Hout Bay shootings were the result of an apparent turf war over routes between two rival taxi associations.A man was found shot dead in a minibus taxi at Sybrand Park in Cape Town on Tuesday morning. 📹
