ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula claims that qualifications, skills and combined experience of their 2024 candidates reflect a party that has gained enormous experience in governance and development said that the party and the EFF have been in communication and that a meeting with Floyd Shivambu, the deputy leader of the EFF, is scheduled.
He said that the ANC and EFF will meet and discuss concerns surrounding the Ekurhuleni metro municipality, as it is in the best interests of the people to find solutions. Speaking to the media on Friday, 29 March 2024, at the Grace Bible Church Easter service in Orlando Stadium, Mbalula spoke after the motion of no confidence against Ekurhuleni mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana that was submitted by ActionSA to “save the municipality from collapse.” Ngodwana was removed through the motion of no confidence, and the metro now needs to decide who will take over the reins.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
