Ian Foster has confirmed that All Blacks scrumhalf TJ Perenara ruptured his Achilles tendon in Saturday’s draw with England, leaving him in a race to be fit in time for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
“TJ has ruptured his Achilles, we’re gutted for him,” head coach Foster said in London before the All Blacks flew home.“He’s innocuously gone to chase a kick and it’s gone ‘bang’, which hurts.”
If he responds well to surgery/physio he could be back in 4-5 months… Nasty injury tho.
