The agency, which is owned by entrepreneur Rorisang Setlogelo, was named and shamed by the influencer and model on Saturday after it allegedly failed to pay her the money, which was an outstanding payment for being the influencer of Italian booze brand Malfy Gin earlier this year.
Pernod Ricard’s head of communication Evita van Aswegen said Setlogelo’s company reassured her that the popular influencer, who is also a Forbes list 30 under 30 listee, had been paid in full as of Thursday morning. However, she added that their legal team had been roped in to see the process through. The sub-contracted agency said that they have now made payment in full to Mihlali’s management agency.
On Saturday morning, Ndamase called out several brands on her Instagram page for alleged non-payment for ambassador services rendered. Ndamase was subcontracted by Malfy Gin for the first half of the year to be the influencer for the gin. Pernod Ricard SA subcontracted a marketing agency to manage the campaign with Ndamase and paid the agency in full at the time of the campaign for services rendered by all partners.
This is such a misleading headline until you read the article. No man.
