SA Breweries (SAB), which produces most of SA’s beer, has approached the Western Cape High Court to challenge the ban on alcohol sales 🔒

The government has brushed aside claims by SA Breweries that a local ban on alcohol sales potentially infringes on the trade deal with the EU, SA’s largest trading partner and the biggest source of foreign direct investment for the country.

SA shipped about $90bn worth of goods in 2019, with the EU accounting for about a quarter of total exports. Production should continue for the export at least. It is nonsensical to stop exports. Alternatively continue with few trading days from Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 3pm. Think outside the box as oppose to shut the industry.

Rest SAB rest my money is saved since you're locked up.
