Pandemic delays antenna specialist’s projects and disrupts shipments

AltX-listed antenna specialist Alaris Holdings says profits for its year to end June fell by a quarter as Covid-19 delayed projects and disrupted shipments to clients.

The group’s Finland-based COJOT business, which it acquired in 2016, saw a 32% decrease in profit after tax to R16m, as a result of customers delaying decisions during the pandemic. Alaris Holdings designs, develops, manufactures and sells specialised broadband antennas and other radio-frequency products.

Good harvests and more exports lead to boom in agriculture sector | CitypressThe agricultural sector in South Africa is thriving. Not only is it the only economic sector that grew in the second quarter of this year, but the industry’s second quarter trade surplus was 32% higher than it was a year ago, said Wandile Sihlobo. Quite encouraging report !! We do not want to have food insecurity in our country. If only the government could enhance the capacity of black farmers to be part of this growth. So far they are not. There is no reason for this failure. We have all the resources for this to happen.
