Ajax have a better goal difference following their 5-1 thumping of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila midweek. But the pressure will be on Ajax as it is their last match of the mini-tournament. Leopards still have to face Tshakhuma in the last fixture on Monday. The Urban Warriors will also look to avenge the 1-0 loss they suffered at the hands of Lidoda Duvha earlier in the competition.
Ajax coach Calvin Marlin hopes his team will carry into the match the momentum from their hammering of Tshakhuma. “The guys are in good spirits. You can’t compare one game to another but I hope we go out there and get off to a good start compared to the poor starts we’ve been having,” Marlin said.“Hopefully, we can get goals early and see out the game – that is the ideal situation – but football isn’t like that.
“The boys are positive and we just want to leave everything on the field. One more game, what happens in the last game [of the play-offs] is out of our hands. If we can do our job properly, win the game, then whatever happens, happens.”“Our next game against Ajax Cape Town – that is where we need to wrap it up. It is not over, our main aim is to win the game. We want to control our own future and take care of business on the field. We will have to perform well and get maximum points,” he said.
